Ximen is actively working on reopening the Kenville Gold Mine in Nelson, BC. The Kenville mine was the province's first underground operation, beginning production in 1890. Historical production records show 65,381 ounces gold produced from 158,842 tonnes milled, for a recovered grade of 12.8 grams per tonne (0.37 ounce per ton) gold.

Ximen: Advancing the Kenville Gold Mine

A Historic Gold Producer

The Kenville mine was the province’s first underground operation, beginning production in 1890. Historical production records show 65,381 ounces gold produced from 158,842 tonnes milled, for a recovered grade of 12.8 grams per tonne (0.37 ounce per ton) gold.

Discovery of a new, untouched vein system

Drilling in the late 2000s tapped into an untouched vein system to the south and west of the old mine. The vein system spans 700 meters in strike and 250 meters down dip with spectacular grades ranging from 26.6 g/t to 88.1 g/t

Fully owned and ready for production

Ximen plans to develop a 1200-meter decline to extract a 10,000-tonne bulk sample. Currently, permits for bulk sample and underground options are submitted and under review.

Well-connected, excellent infrastructure

The Kenville mine is connected to the Kootenay Hydro dam and located a mere 8kms from Nelson, BC. The processing mill is located in Greenwood, BC, just 150kms from the mine site.

As we move our mining and exploration projects forward, our goal is to maintain a small environmental footprint.
